My work elevates ordinary experience and honours the lived realities of ordinary people

No one in my work is evil, or only a villain. I don’t believe in conflict in the way we are told it should operate in drama

I’m interested in structures and systems, and how they fail us, and how in those circumstances we make our worst decisions, even when we’re trying our best

But I do believe in compelling stories

I build vivid, authentic worlds, and zoom in on the tiny connections inside them

My work finds the epic in the intimate and incidental

I try to capture the unsaid with insight

My process is generous, thoughtful, observant, rigorous, precise

My work is tender, quiet, detailed, delicate, radical
